Introducing the Hooligans!
The Holligans are made up of a group of pilots that use their airman talents in the disciplined art of "Formation Flying." The current aircraft flown are 3 T-34 Mentors and 1 L-17 Navion; all are former Air Force and Navy trainers or Liaison aircraft and are equipped with air-show type smoke systems.
Formation Flying is and has been used by the military since the beginning of flight as a means to train pilots in close order flying. It is useful in training pilots for their own protection in air battles as escorts and in fighter configurations.
